Trime’s silver success
22 March 2022
Trime UK has won another trophy for its sustainable lighting towers, winning silver in this year’s Green World Awards, held recently in Abu Dhabi.
The Green World Awards are the top tier of the Green Apple Awards, and recognise the achievements of public and private sector organisations and individuals for their beneficial impact on the environment.
Commenting after receiving the award for Energy Management in the Engineering and Manufacturing sector, Paul Hay, Trime UK’s managing director said, “I am so proud of what we have won. The whole of the Trime team in the UK and in Italy have worked very hard to achieve this award.”
He added: “Although we will take time to celebrate this honour, we are aware that we still have so much more to achieve. We are redoubling our efforts to develop our T-Zero range of equipment, with the aim to only offer emission-free machinery by 2025.”
The Green World Awards judges recognised Trime’s use of new energy-saving and carbon reducing systems that are incorporated into the X-Solar Hybrid lighting tower. The machine has LED lamps and is powered by a combination of solar energy and battery power, backed-up by a fuel-efficient engine driven battery charging system.
The X-Solar Hybrid also won a Gold Award in The Green Apple Environment Awards for 2020.
