Green secure storage
8 July 2021
Going green isn’t just about reducing emissions from engine-driven machinery. It involves every element in the manufacture and supply of all products and services.
Metal and Modular Fabrication Services, based at Flore in Northamptonshire, has developed a range of secure tool and equipment storage products and site boxes that require minimal welding in their assembly and repair.
Products in the SureLock Pro line-up have a series of interlocking mechanisms that allow panels to be locked tightly together and then reinforced by a strong fixing bar being placed over them.
This method is claimed to reduce welding and associated processes by up to 85%, which is important for organisations looking to lower their carbon footprint.
Business development manager Lynne Bowering says that virtually anyone can repair damaged panels, rather than having to return them to the manufacturer. This further reduces emissions related to transportation. The units can also be back out on hire more quickly.
Five-lever deadlocks are incorporated on the products together with anti-jemmy and anti-cutting measures. Vault lids have a failsafe auto-lock device on the strut to improve safety while accessing the storage units.
Metal and Modular says that 99% of components for the SureLock Pro range are produced in the UK and units can be painted in customers’ corporate colours - including green, of course.
