AJC Power Solutions has continued to develop its environmentally friendly product range with new additions to its battery energy storage line-up.

The use of high-capacity 10kWh battery cells has enable the manufacturer to add a 45Ah/150kWh version of its Battery Pod unit (pictured above), joining the existing 30Ah/80kWh and 45Ah/100kWh models for increased capacity and longer running times.

Similarly, a 50kWh version of AJC’s Solar Pod (shown below) which has fold-out photovoltaic panels, has been introduced to complement the 30kWh model.

Adam Davies, AJC Power Solutions’ Renewables Business Manager, says that the cells are fitted so that there is no increase in the size of the machines.

“All our batteries are heated-lithium types which can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from 60C down to minus 20C. The latest versions also have integral fire suppression on each individual cell.”

Also new is AJC Connect, a bespoke software package that integrates with the system used on the Victron controllers in the machines to provide additional operating data.

“AJC Connect extracts additional real-time information and the interface can be customised with the user’s own branding,” says Adam.

“It also enable individual socket connections to be switches on or off remotely and they can be set to operate on a timed basis. This capability comes as standard and no extra equipment is needed.

“The software also links to weather forecasts and can give the user an estimate of solar power production and running times based on expected loadings. The screen can display how many trees have effectively been saved in terms of carbon reduction. It’s really intelligent but very easy to use.”
