Takeuchi adopts Cesar emissions verification

Takeuchi Mfg UK is now fitting the Cesar ECV (Emission Compliance Verification) system as standard across its full Takeuchi machine line-up.

Since 2008, the plant manufacturer has fitted the original Cesar theft deterrence scheme to its models. Following the recent achievement of Stage V engine compliance on all its machines up to 15 tonnes, it will now include the additional system which provides accurate and visible emissions information to operators and site managers.

The ECV addition was developed in association with the security specialist Datatag to create an easy and reliable way to confirm the emissions category of construction equipment. It uses tamper-evident colour-coded labels with a unique alphanumeric code, which is also linked securely to a machine's unique Cesar identity to ensure complete integrity of the system.

Hitoshi Arai, managing director of Takeuchi Mfg UK, said: “As a leading supplier in the construction equipment sector, we are constantly looking at environmental impacts of our machines. Takeuchi has been Stage V ready since 2020 across the entire range and the new Cesar ECV system confirms this.

“For our customers, this will be essential on-site to manage large-scale projects and multiple contractors ensuring plant on site is as 'clean' as is possible,” he added.
