Speedy Excellence

The Speedy Hire Live Expo 24 event opened today and continues tomorrow at the Exhibition Centre, Liverpool. The impressive show comprises an exhibition with seminars and enables the company’s personnel and customers to see innovative products from 150 suppliers, to discuss industry trends and to generally network in a positive atmosphere.

Speedy kindly invited me to attend the fascinating event and in future blog posts I’ll be reporting on some of the cutting-edge new products displayed and topics discussed.

Another highlight was the presentation of Speedy’s Supplier Excellence Awards during a gala dinner on the first evening. The winning companies were:

Safety and Well-being Supplier of the Year: FOHSS Illuminated Safety Solutions; also nominated was Armorgard

ESG Sustainability Supplier of the Year: Hilti Group; also nominated was The Hire Supply Company

Social Value Partner of the Year: Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity

Innovation Supplier of the Year: P.F. Cusack (Tool Supplies); also nominated was Multiquip

Customers Solutions Supplier of the Year: Selwood; also nominated was Karcher Hire

Consumables Supplier of the Year: Capture Green – Green Rhino; also nominated was OX Tools

Core Tool & Equipment Supplier of the Year: ZND; also nominated was Trime UK

Specialist Supplier of the Year: Ritelite; also nominated was Safehold

Chief Executive’s Award for Supplier of the Year: Niftylift for its partnership in developing its hydrogen powered bi-energy access platform and a new clip-on safety harness

Speaking during the awards ceremony, Dan said that ambition is one of the values underpinning the company’s Velocity five-year growth programme introduced last year and that the innovation and commitment shown by suppliers enables Speedy to provide equipment that solved customers’ difficult challenges. Products constantly had to evolve as the world changes around us, posing new demands especially regarding sustainability.

Speedy and its suppliers had to show care, trust and the ability to think differently, said Dan, not just in developing new products, but also in areas such as logistics, property, transport and systems.
