Takeuchi goes grey
13 March 2024
Takeuchi’s new TB20e electric mini excavator is predominantly finished in grey rather than the company's traditional red livery. The company says it would otherwise be difficult to differentiate the machine from its TB216 diesel counterpart.
The manufacturer says that the machine also offers similar performance and it is the first Takeuchi excavator to incorporate electro-hydraulic controls.
Using the onboard charger, the unit can be recharged overnight and it can also be operated while charging. An optional fast charger is available that reduces charge time to between two and four hours.
Takeuchi says the battery provides up to eight hours of operating time at 65% load.
A telematics system is fitted as standard on the TB20e, which weighs in at 2011kg, and it has an expanding undercarriage to facilitate access through narrow entrances.
Hirers north of the border will be able to see the machine on Takeuchi’s stand at the Scotplant exhibition taking place in Edinburgh on 26 and 27 April.
