Makita’s Quiet launch

Makita has added a new air compressor to its Quiet Series range. Designed for use across a range of applications, the compact MAC210Q is available in 110V or 240V options.

The 1hp, 9-litre oil-free electric machine has a low noise level of 60dB(A), weighs 20kg and can be used indoors. It is designed for low-current draw on start-up to reduce the incidence of circuit breakers tripping and a lever-handle tank drain system is incorporated to facilitate air tank release. 

The induction motor provides 2cfm at 90psi, with a maximum tank pressure of 135psi. Additionally, the compressor runs at a lower revs, extending the life of the motor and pump, which are also protected by a roll-cage.
