EV trailer from Brian James
12 February 2024
Brian James Trailers has launched a new range of lightweight enclosed car transporters specifically to accommodate SUVs (sport utility vehicles) and electric vehicles (EVs), which are typically heavier than traditional counterparts.
As well as tri-axle models, the Race Transporter 7 (RT7) series includes twin-axle versions for additional weight saving and higher load capacity. The trailers have lightweight chassis and a composite floor, and can deliver weight savings of up to 200kg compared with similar sized models.
The RT7 models incorporate an electric actuator with a wireless remote to operate the rear door and tilt bed. Manual controls are also located inside the front hatch.
The trailer has bright LED lighting throughout, including the rear, front and side lights, side-mounted reversing lights, automatic rear loading lights which come on when the rear door opens, and full-length interior strip lighting in the standard specification.
Lewis James, CEO of Brian James Trailers, said: “With exceptional specification and a lighter, stronger, smarter design, the Race Transporter 7 takes enclosed car transport to a new level.”
