City Hire expands

City Hire has announced the opening of a new distribution centre in Warrington to expand its coverage. 

The 1.8-acre site will support the operation’s existing distribution centre in Liverpool. City Hire’s FORS Silver-accredited transport team will operate a number of vehicles from both locations to serve construction sites across Merseyside, Manchester and the north-west of England with same-day deliveries.

The opening of the new site follows on from City Hire’s acquisition of Construct-Equip in September, as reported previously on the blog, enabling the business to operate out of distribution centres in Birmingham and Telford serving the West Midlands.

The Warrington distribution centre officially opens on Monday, 15 January and is City Hire’s third addition in four months, bringing its total depot network to six.

City Hire is the trading name of City Tool Hire, an independent business founded in 1989. It now has over 150 staff and supplies a range of equipment including plant, powered access, tools, and non-mechanical products.
