Selco partners with HSS

The Selco Builders Warehouse merchant has formed a partnership with HSS Hire to offer an equipment hire service for customers. 

HSS has opened the first two satellite operations in Selco’s Slough and Milton Keynes depots, with Tottenham and Ashton-under-Lyne to follow shortly as part of an expansion programme this year.

Selco Chief Executive Howard Luft Selco, said that “our commitment is to offer everything a trades person might need to go about their daily work all under one roof and the relationship we have formed with HSS Hire strengthens that proposition even further.

"We are excited to have launched the partnership and look forward to it continuing for many years to come.”

Bart Murphy, Director at HSS Hire, added: “We are looking to expand into strategic locations across the UK and this partnership with Selco represents an ideal chance to do that.

“There is a natural fit between the services offered by builders merchant and a tool and equipment hire specialist and we are delighted to be working in tandem with Selco to enhance the journeys for both sets of customers.” 

Selco, which is part of the Grafton Group, first explored the tool hire concept back in 2013 when it introduced an in-house hire activity at a number of merchant branches.
