Wernick Power on the big screen

A series of open days held recently at its depots throughout the country enabled Wernick Power Solutions to promote its products and services to customers, as well as to display the some of the latest additions to its fleet. 

At the final session held at the operation’s Dartford depot, machines on show included recently delivered Stage V generators from Bruno/BGG and JCB, as well as a Punch Flybrid energy storage system and 10,000-litre capacity fuel and AdBlue tanks from Western. 

“The open day was great because it enabled customers to see at first hand all that we can offer,” Depot Manager Vicky Collins told me. 

“We also demonstrated the telemetry systems that we can provide on the equipment. Our Wernick Hire portable building business provided us with a site cabin that we fitted out like a cinema (see below) with seating and a big screen so that we could display the live data on generator run time, carbon emissions, operating parameters and carbon savings. 

“We have developed in-house a piece of software that calculates the cost savings achieved when using a hybrid power system with the battery energy storage units we have in our fleet. This links the hire rate with savings in fuel and servicing costs, and the results are shown in a simple, easy to understand document.” 

Generators in the Wernick Power Solutions fleet currently range in capacity up to 500kVA, offered from six locations across the country. The Dartford facility opened early in 2022 and Vicky was appointed as Depot Manager a year ago, having previously worked with Abird. 

Dartford serves a large area extending from north of the M25 motorway across to the Essex coast and Kent, down to Sussex and Hampshire, and west towards Reading.
