Speedy adds Prop Pal
27 October 2023
Speedy has added the Prop Pal needle system to its fleet, which is designed to simplify knock-through work in construction.
Liam Wynne, Speedy’s Supply Chain Manager, says the product is particularly suitable for use by the hirer’s professional builder customers working on domestic and small commercial structural alterations.
The Prop Pal system is designed to provide full support of both the inner and outer leaf walls of a structure to maintain integrity during alterations, such as when undertaking open plan refurbishments..
Speaking when the blog reported on the product previously, Prop Pal MD Stephen Cheshire explained that “the traditional method is to put reinforcing needles through the ceiling and the floor above as props, but my idea was to provide slots at both ends of the needles so that they can be locked into place.
“The end has an adjustable foot with a plate and a removable jacking screw which winds down to the floor and can be bolted into position. This means you don’t have to damage the ceiling or floor.”
