BGG acquires Powertronix
28 July 2023
Bruno Generators Group (BGG) has acquired a majority stake in Powertronix, a manufacturer of battery storage products and uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems.
Powertronix has been headed by the Modenesi family since 1993 and under the stewardship of Luigino Modenesi has developed technology such as a liquid-cooled UPS based on the proprietary Climasystem in 2005.
BGG states that the partnership will reinforce its focus on green technology, which has included the launch of a hydrogen powered generator range at the Bauma exhibition last year, as reported on the blog.
The company says it is producing and delivering record-breaking quantities of its popular Stage V rental specification generators, along with Enerpack site battery storage systems (pictured).
The Powertronix acquisition means that BGG’s Project division will benefit from having a one-stop-shop to include generators and a matching UPS package to offer to its installation customers worldwide.
The partnership will also provide Powertronix with the resources to develop new technology and products more rapidly, including rapid charging equipment for site machinery and trucks which is expected to be launched in November.
