Power in parallel

Battery energy storage system manufacturer Powr2 has launched technology to enable a number of its Powrbank units to run in parallel for combined power output and capacity.

Called Powrsync it allows up to four machines to be connected, whether they are of the same model or different capacities, which can be particularly beneficial in situations where reliable and uninterrupted power is required.

The manufacturer says that the system is also suitable for large applications or those with fluctuations in load levels throughout a working day, such as when running submersible pumps and starting motors.

When the load increases, the Powrsync balances the load between the Powrbanks accordingly and also enables units to run individually. It utilises an automated PLC (programmable logical controller) and an intuitive human machine interface (HMI) for ease of use and system management.

Toby Nunn, CEO at Powr2, said: "Powrsync represents a major advancement in battery technology. Whether it's for critical infrastructure, construction sites, or outdoor events, it offers a reliable and convenient solution when more power is needed."

An intelligent battery management system optimises energy storage, actively monitoring the load and the charge levels of connected batteries for consistent operation.

Users can connect and disconnect batteries quickly, making it a versatile solution for various applications, and because if this Powr2 says that Powrsync gives Powrbank fleet owners a greater potential return on investment.
