The Prop Pal building needle system has been accredited with approval under the HAE’s Hire Industry Trusted Supplier (HITS) scheme. 

Under the scheme, the association’s supply chain members can participate in an online assessment and due diligence process to achieve trusted supplier status. It is intended to provide assistance by means of advice and guidance and analyses supplier members for their capacity to deal with increases in demand, productivity, efficiency and respect for the environment.

Stephen Cheshire, MD of Prop Pal said: "The HITS Supplier Certification has been a significant target we’ve been working towards because we recognise how important the tool hire industry is to builders in Britain. We know they need reliable tool and plant hire companies to supply the best equipment that meet industry standards.”

The Prop Pal is designed to provide full support of both the inner and outer leaf walls to maintain structural integrity during alterations.

Speaking when the blog previously reported on the product, Stephen Cheshire explained that “the traditional method is to put reinforcing needles through the ceiling and the floor above as props, but my idea was to provide slots at both ends of the needles so that they can be locked into place. 

“The end has an adjustable foot with a plate and a removable jacking screw which winds down to the floor and can be bolted into position. This means you don’t have to damage the ceiling or floor.”
