Sunbelt opens in Inverness
6 July 2023
Sunbelt Rentals has opened its newest depot in Inverness to serve the surrounding area and much of the Scottish Highlands with plant, tools, powered access, utilities and traffic management equipment.
The new location will place emphasis on providing environmentally friendly products. The Scottish Government aims that by 2030, 50 per cent of the country’s overall energy consumption will be from renewable sources, and that by 2050 Scotland will have decarbonised its energy system almost completely.
Such fleet items include battery power storage units working alongside generators or a mains electric supply, and Sunbelt’s Eco-Lync smart energy system (mentioned previously on the blog) to regulate and monitor power distribution in real-time for reduced energy consumption.
Douglas Smith, Sunbelt Rentals UK’s Sales Director for Scotland, said: “We’re excited to open our new depot in Inverness to provide our customers in the region with a full Sunbelt Rentals solution. This larger space allows us to offer our customers a full 360 solution and reflects our dedication to supporting our customers’ evolving needs of sustainable products.”
