Himoinsa hits production milestone

Himoinsa has celebrated the manufacture of its 100,000th generator set with a Yanmar engine at its Spanish headquarters.

The two companies began their partnership in 2006, with Yanmar becoming one of the main engine suppliers for Himoinsa’s generators. 

In 2015, Himoinsa became part of the Yanmar Group and was integrated into the Yanmar Energy System business unit. 

The businesses have worked closely in recent years, particularly for machines in the power generation sector up to 45kVA. This year they expect to reach the cumulative figure of 110,000 generator sets with Yanmar TNV engines, reflecting growing demand for generators of this capacity.

Yanmar engines are also used in Himoinsa’s lighting towers, including a model designed specifically for this application in terms of optimising power and fuel consumption to reduce operating costs. Service intervals have also been extended.
