Hireman hits four

The Hireman is to open its fourth depot in Rochester, Kent. Located on the site of a former builders’ merchant, it will be the London-based company’s largest facility yet and should be open for business towards the end of the year.

“The site covers more than 22,000 sq ft and has a sizeable yard,” MD Neil Graham tells me. “We already serve areas of Kent and Sussex from our other depots in Canning Town, Croydon and Wembley, and this will also enable us to offer larger equipment such as diggers, dumpers and powered access, which we will be adding to the fleet. 

“Rochester was a target location for us as it has great connections into central London via the M2 and A2. And a number of our key staff live in the local area and will transfer across to the new facility.”
