Kevin Minton retires

The Plantworx exhibition which opened today at the East of England Showground in Peterborough provided a perfect opportunity for me to present Kevin Minton with a token of my appreciation for the help he has given me over the years and for his immense contribution to the hire industry. 

Kevin retires from his post as Chief Executive of the CPA at the end of this month. He has the unique distinction of having headed up both of the industry’s main trade associations, as he was previously Managing Director of the HAE. 

In my 20-years plus covering the industry with Executive Hire News and latterly on the blog, Kevin has always been a trusted and independent source of information, advice and support, particularly when trying to understand issues and trends such as the transition from red diesel, Low Emission Zones and Health & Safety regulations.

Plantworx is most likely the last major industry event that Kevin will have an involvement with, so I was glad to be able to catch up with him and wish him a long and happy retirement.
