Sunbelt's Award haul

Sunbelt Rentals carried off no fewer than four trophies in the HAE’s Hire Awards of Excellence 2021, presented yesterday during an online ceremony. A team member also won an individual Award.
Sunbelt won in the Plant, Tool & Equipment Hire Company over £10m Turnover category and the Award for Best HAE Member Covid-19 response in helping create NHS coronavirus testing stations nationwide (pictured).
The company was also successful as Event Hire Company of the Year over £3m Turnover for its work in converting facilities into NHS Nightingale hospitals, as well as for Best Use of New Media for its Sunfest virtual exhibition. Sunbelt’s Lucy O’Rourke was named as Young Apprentice of the Year.

HSS: Catalogue of the Year
Plato Catering Hire: Event Hire Company of the Year up to £3m Turnover
Charlotte Bingham, Travis Perkins: Apprentice of the Year
Andrew Smith, Speedy Services: Workshop Manager of the Year
Luke Davies, Hirebase: Hire Manager of the Year and Overall Hire Achiever of the Year
HAE Chairman Brian Sherlock presented the Outstanding Contribution to Hire Award to Mark Bradshaw, the association's public affairs officer. Mark lobbied the Government to classify hirers as essential suppliers so they could remain open and support the recovery during the first and subsequent lockdowns.
The 2022 Awards are scheduled for Saturday, 7 May at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
