Speedy set to launch hydrogen generator

Speedy Hydrogen Solutions, the joint venture between Speedy Hire and the hydrogen power generation specialist AFC Energy, has announced the successful factory acceptance test of its 30kW H-Power generator. 

The two companies say this means the innovative zero-emission unit is now ready for sale and for hire to customers.   

Speedy reports that, since the establishment of the joint venture, there has been strong interest from customers, with several of its national clients having visited AFC Energy’s head office in recent weeks to introduce the fuel cell technology and the product range. 

Daniel Thompson, Operations Director Power and Energy with Speedy Hire, said: “Having the first H-Power generator ready for hire is an exciting moment in our partnership with AFC Energy. We are already working closely with a number of our national customers who are keen to realise the benefits of zero emission technology on their sites, and who see hydrogen as a key part of that product mix.”

The new hydrogen powered generator will be shown at Speedy Hire’s internal Live Expo event taking place at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool on 20 and 21 March.
