Belle’s quick start
21 February 2024
As reported exclusively on the blog last week, Altrad Belle has launched a battery powered cut-off saw and the tool has made a rapid start following its appearance on the company’s stand at the Executive Hire Show.
“I don’t think we have ever taken as many orders for a single product on the first day of any exhibition,” Ray Neilson, MD of Altrad Belle told me.
The DC 300E+ weighs only 5.7kg and gives a maximum cutting depth of 112mm, meaning it can be used to cut a standard soil pipe in a single operation. It has a standard 20mm arbour enabling it to accept standard diamond blades.
“Hirers like its low weight, cutting depth capacity and price, as well as the fact that it takes the same 82V battery as is used on Belle’s Minimix 150E+ mixer, which many companies already have in their hire fleets,” said Ray.
Altrad Belle also launched two compaction plates on the 82V platform. The PCLX 32E+ and PCLX40E+ have plate widths of 320mm and 400mm and offer the same performance as petrol equivalents.
