Compact Husqvarna robot

Husqvarna Construction has introduced the new DXR 95 demolition robot, which the company describes as the lightest and most compact model yet in its five-strong line-up, making it particularly suitable for work in confined spaces.
The machine’s power train delivers 9.8kW of power and 250 bar of pressure to the end-of-arm tool, and weighing in at around half a tonne it is small enough to be transported in a typical work van and steered through narrow passageways. It can also negotiate steep inclines at an angle of 30°.
Operation is facilitated by the incorporation of ergonomic joystick controls and a large LCD displaying user messages and information.
The DXR 95 is designed for diverse tasks ranging from underground rock breaking to chimney removal, and has several design features to prevent unnecessary downtime. These include thermal management technology, a heavy-duty arm system with friction-welded cylinders, automatic greasing of the breaker for longer service intervals and protection of vital parts in a tough lower chassis.
A remote control allows operators to fine-tune tune parameters such as water, grease and hydraulic functions to suit the task, and to adjust the pressure and flow to match the requirements of non-standard tools.
