Loads of Tufftruk efficiency

Besides helping contractors to meet their green objectives, Tufftruk reports that its battery powered mini dumpers can increase operating efficiency on job sites.
The innovative company’s flagship EB800 Truxta model has an articulated chassis and four-wheel drive for manoeuvrability, and MD Andrew Simpson says that the machine’s fold-down rear step facilitates working procedures.
“Operators can stand on the machine as they move around the site and then quickly step off without having to fasten and unbuckle seat belts or straps.
“It’s also compact enough to be driven straight into a typical builders’ van for secure transportation without needing a trailer.”
The EB800 weighs just 550kg and has a carrying capacity of up to 800kg. Regenerative braking is also incorporated.
“As we design and manufacture the machine ourselves, we have been able to remove any excess weight on the machine,” said Andrew.
The compact unit typically gives eight hours’ operation in a working day and it can be fully recharged overnight. And being battery operated, there is obviously no need for users to source and store fuel, meaning there is no risk of leaks or spillages.
The EB800 has a hydraulic powered tipping frame and can be fitted with quick-swap skip and flatbed attachments (pictured below), as well as a dedicated concrete pouring skip.
As well as supplying UK customers, Tufftruk serves overseas markets including Europe, US, Australia and New Zealand. And conscious of its own environmental obligations, the vast majority of the company’s suppliers are within a 30-mile radius of its factory in Leek, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations.
The EB800 will take pride of place on Tufftruk’s display on stand K36 at the Executive Hire Show taking place at the CBS Arena in Coventry next month.
