Streamlined Husqvarna

Husqvarna Construction has consolidated and streamlined its diamond tool offering for surfaces and with the introduction of one improved range under the Husqvarna brand. 

Pierre Andary, Senior Vice President Diamond Tools with Husqvarna Construction, says this makes it easier for professional users to find what they need from a single source of supply, including machines, chemicals, floor solutions or diamond tools. 

The new portfolio is the result of two years of intensive market and product research, as well as 100 years of combined experience from the popular brands of Husqvarna, HTC and Blastrac. 

The range covers tools for all stages of a project, from coating removal to grinding, polishing and edging, as well as special applications such as natural stone and wood.

Products also benefit from new plastic-free packaging formats. All diamond tools will now come in appropriately sized cardboard boxes, designed to not only protect them but will also reduce the use of plastic and waste on construction sites.

The packaging is made of recycled material that is resistant to shock and humidity, and includes clear usage information. 

Products from the new line-up will be displayed on Husqvarna’s stand (E10) at the Executive Hire Show taking place in Coventry on 14 and 15 February. 

Also on show will be Husqvarna’s new LF 60i LAT plate compactor (pictured below), which is powered by the batteries on the manufacturer’s 36V BLi battery platform. The machine is said to offer the same performance as a petrol equivalent but with the added benefit of easier starting in all conditions. 

Other machines using BLi batteries include the K 540i disc cutter, a core drill, a dust extractor, a concrete screed, a water tank and a work light, as well as landscaping machines from Husqvarna’s Forest & Garden range including chainsaws, hedge trimmers and a leaf blower, giving considerable versatility.
