Green Eagles spotted

Eagle Hire has changed the vehicles used by its management team and sales personnel from fossil fuel cars to Tesla Y electric vehicles (EVs) as part of a strategy to reduce the company’s carbon footprint. 

The business, which has depots in Glasgow and Edinburgh, says that the move is bringing cost savings. 

“We’re already seeing a difference,” Ian MacDonald, Eagle’s Sales & Marketing Director told me. “And there are several dedicated Tesla charging points on the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh which makes it very convenient and cost-effective. 

“We’re proud to show that it’s not just the big companies which can embark on the journey to Net Zero. And the new cars are brilliant in terms of performance and space.” 

As reported on the blog in December, Eagle Hire is now under new ownership following a management buyout and the company says it has other exciting plans for 2024, including a new Glasgow headquarters.
