Glendun wins Trime lighting order

Glendun Plant, the Dungannon-based plant and machinery distributor, has received an order for a fleet of Trime X-ECO Hybrid Lithium lighting towers from FKL Plant, the specialist hire activity of contractor FK Lowry Ltd which serves the construction and services sectors in the UK and Ireland.

Alan McCulla, FK Lowry’s Plant Service Manager, said: “Having reviewed several options, we selected the Trime X-ECO Hybrid Lithium lights due to their sustainability features including low emissions, low-noise, cost-saving attributes and the high-quality design and manufacture of the towers.”

Glendun Plant’s Dermot Cunnie added: “We are delighted to supply the first Trime X-ECO Hybrid Lithium units to a main contractor, following an extensive product evaluation. As part of our stock order, we split the mix between standard diesel and hybrid sets to cope with increased demand for new technology.”

The machine is powered by lithium batteries that can be fully recharged in less than three hours. This means that in a ten-hour cycle, for 80% of its operation, the X- ECO Hybrid Lithium runs solely on batteries, and therefore emits zero noise and zero carbon.
