Altrad Belle motors towards net zero

Altrad Belle has installed electric vehicle charging points at its production facility in Sheen, Derbyshire, as part of its ongoing commitment to the Altrad Group's sustainability initiatives, and this is helping to reduce the operation’s carbon footprint.

Customers and visitors who own EVs can now travel to the company’s premises in the heart of the rural Peak District, knowing that they will be able to recharge their vehicles during their time there.

Less pollution will be created in the local area as the volume of fumes from petrol and diesel engines will be reduced, leading to improved air quality and less noise.

The company says that the energy supplied through the EV charging points comes from 100 per cent renewable sources, comprising wind, bioenergy, solar, and hydropower.

Altrad Belle has also reduced its carbon footprint by producing its own nitrogen for various manufacturing processes at the Sheen facility, as reported earlier.
