AMPS winners announced

The AMPS Awards for Excellence were announced during a ceremony held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, with the emphasis on innovation and sustainability.
Successful entrants included Prolectric which won the Energy and Sustainability Award, for its all-encompassing approach to sustainability, significantly reducing emissions while saving costs for clients.
The Apprentice of the Year Award went to Hannah Magowan, a New Product Development Lead Engineer from Dale Power Solutions, for achievements including her advocacy for women in engineering and contributions to innovative projects like a thyristor-based control board, a DC alarm unit and work in sustainable battery energy storage.
WB Power Services won the Innovation and Technology Award for its WB e-Pod, a scalable standby power solution which has been used applications such as data centres and in health care.
The Environmental Product of the Year Award went to Atlas Copco for its ZBC 250/500 battery storage unit.
The Project of the Year Award was shared between Generator Power for an uninterruptible supply project for a Gloucester Hospital NHS Trust project, and Eminox wins for its work on the Sunbelt Energy Farm project, a sustainable rail infrastructure project.
The shortlisted shortlisted companies included Crestchic Loadbanks, MHM Group, Instagrid and IPU.
David Oates, Director General of AMPS (Association of Manufacturers and Suppliers of Power Generating Systems), said: “Congratulations to all the winners and those shortlisted for showing what it truly means to be at the forefront of the country’s path towards a sustainable future."
