Mecalac swings in

Mecalac has launched the eS1000, a 7-tonne battery powered swing loader complementing its 11-tonne electric excavator. 

The machine is designed for economy of movement in operation as the boom moves rather than the unit itself. This is said to reduce cycle times and noise, and to enhance safety. 

Mecalac says the battery provides eight hours of operation and that whatever is lifted by the bucket at the front, once the rear axle is locked, can be turned through 180° without loss of stability, even with the wheels at full lock. 

Maximum straight tipping load capacity is 4300kg and standard bucket volume is 1 cu m.
