Wernick adds Flybrids

Wernick Power Solutions has added the Punch Flybrid unit to its fleet. 

The unit’s flywheel energy recovery system stores kinetic energy to use when needed to downscale peak energy demand and cut energy consumption

It is designed to boosts peak performance and significantly improves the load response of the generator. As a result, fuel and emission savings of over 50 per cent can be achieved in dynamic applications such as powering cranes and hoists.

The Flybrid is said to be able to perform up to 10 million charging cycles compared to 3,000 of a typical electric vehicle battery.
