A successful Vision

Welfare unit manufacturer Advanté’s Vision Solar range has won two International Green Apple Awards, one for environmental improvement and the other for sustainable development.

The Vision Solar is a self-contained, diesel-free 2+1 toilet block powered by solar hybrid technology, launched in May 2023 to help construction sites reduce their carbon footprint. It is claimed to offer 99 per cent average carbon-free electrical power usage, with renewable solar energy being stored in a battery for later usage with minimal reliance on the hybrid LPG generator.

The Vision Solar range also includes the Vision Solar Access unit (pictured), believed to be the first unit of its kind to offer wheelchair accessible self-contained toilet facilities to address disability inclusion on site.

Advanté will be presented with their trophies at a ceremony to be held by the Green Organisation at the Houses of Parliament on 20 November.
