IDE goes Invisible

IDE Systems, a temporary power distribution and energy management provider, has partnered with Invisible Systems, an Internet of Things (IoT) solution provider, to create a combined offering for on-site energy management.

The partnership marks IDE Systems’ transition from being a supplier to Invisible Systems, to now becoming a distributor of the company’s Eco Lync product, designed to provide an end-to-end energy management solution for construction sites. This will enable savings on fuel consumption, energy usage and subsequent reductions in emissions and costs for users. 

IDE Systems has its own energy management and control system, Erica (energy reduction through informed control and information), pictured above, which gives sites access to real time data on power consumption and the ability to turn off power to certain areas of the site by using an online dashboard. 

Invisible Systems says its Eco Lync energy management system can reduce carbon emissions by over 30 per cent on construction sites. By offering both products, customers can optimise their operating needs, monitoring installations ranging from single welfare cabins to large-scale developments encompassing hundreds of units.

As part of the partnership, IDE Systems has expanded its support team with data specialists and additional software developers. 

MD Wayne Woodhead said: “IDE Systems started on its journey to develop energy monitoring and control solutions four years ago. Our focus with Erica was always for the vast number of smaller site compounds, but there is an obvious need to apply the same principles to larger set ups. Working with Invisible Systems expands our energy management offering to encompass these.”
