Solar top-ups from Lifos

Solar and hybrid battery technology specialist Lifos has launched an innovative accessory to help site managers overcome problems with machinery such as diesel generators not starting because of flat batteries.

The new Solar Top-up Kit includes a flexible solar panel with a charge controller and the necessary fittings (pictured below) for connection to the host machine so that the battery remains charged.

The kit is available in various capacities to suit generators of up to 20kVA, 40kVA and 80kVA and can be used on a wide variety of other site equipment and plant with a start-up battery, such as compressors and dust suppressors. 

Lifos says that Top-Up Kits for larger generators of up to 200kVA and above are also available.
