Stihl has added a portable 230V battery pack unit as a low-maintenance and emission-free alternative to fossil fuel powered generators. 

Weighing 19.8kg and offering a 3.6kW output, the PS 3000 offers can be used with equipment such as corded drills, site lighting, power washers and vacuums, as well as for recharging Stihl tool batteries.

The unit produces a pure sine wave, meaning it generates the same electrical current produced by the grid and ensuring there is no difference in performance and that no electrical interference is generated, says Stihl. 

A boost mode function temporarily increases the power output by up to 250 per cent for equipment requiring high initial starting currents.
