Husqvarna on rails

At the recent Rail Live exhibition held at Long Marston in Warwickshire, Husqvarna Construction Products gave the first UK public viewing of the K 1 PACE Rail cut-off saw variant targeted at this industry sector.

The tool uses the manufacturer’s PACE heavy-duty 94V battery system. Rob Harlow, National Account Manager with Husqvarna, says that it offers similar performance to that of the popular petrol powered K 1270 Rail saw and it obviously does away with the need for handing fuel, as well as reducing emissions.

It also has a lower noise level making it suitable for work near residential areas and is lighter in weight. Hand arm vibration is also reduced.

The K 1 PACE Rail accepts blades of up to 16in diameter and the rail attachment mounts are designed to facilitate cutting in any direction.

Husqvarna’s Product Specialist Dan Waldron adds that the tool’s similar design means that a user familiar with the non-battery versions can operate it with minimal instruction being needed.
