Sunbelt and Albert

Sunbelt Rentals Film and TV recently become an accredited supplier with ‘Albert’, a not-for-profit environmental sustainability organisation that aims to encourage those working in the sector to reduce their waste and carbon footprint.

Geoff Fawkes, Sunbelt’s Director of Film and TV, said: “Sunbelt Rentals is wholeheartedly committed to innovating change and protecting the planet. When we first heard about Albert, we knew that we had to be involved in some way to support the industry to make those necessary changes. 

“As a business we’ve developed our own ESG action plan, Our Planet. And, over the last 12 months, we’ve been supporting our customers from various sectors to tackle and drive down their carbon emissions and bridge the ongoing industry skills gap, while supporting local communities through volunteer programmes.” 

To achieve the accreditation, Sunbelt had to demonstrate its sustainable solutions in live settings, such as providing sustainable power for location services, supplying LED lighting on sets for a popular streaming service, and hiring electric plant to a studio complex.
