Long-life Sany
30 March 2023
Sany has now launched its SY19E electric mini excavator in the UK.
The machine has a lithium iron phosphate battery whose formulation does away with the need for scarce elements such as cobalt and is said to allow for up to 3,500 full charge cycles.
A single automotive standard charging socket is incorporated that provides three charging choices. A 240V domestic option gives a nine-hour charge time, while a 360V industrial grade option reduces this to 2.5 hours, and a DC fast-charge capability lowers this further to 1.5 hours.
Sany says that the CCS2 (combined charging system) grade charging socket enables the machine to be charged at fast charge points in locations such as petrol stations and hotel car parks.
The 1.8-tonne mini comes with a three-year/3,000-hour warranty.
