Wernick Power goes Green

Wernick Power goes Green

Wernick Power Solutions has invested almost £2 million with the specialist provider Green Power Hire for battery storage units, with new fleet arrivals scheduled weekly throughout the coming year.

By reducing the amount of generator power required to run a site or project, the battery products will mean less fuel is consumed. The technology also provides opportunities for significant carbon reductions and the units will work in tandem with Wernick Power’s young fleet of generators, including Stage V generators, more of which will be purchased in 2023.

A telemetry system enables users to monitor and optimise the performance of the machines, and Wernick Power can remotely programme sockets to suit site conditions, isolating power to unnecessary systems and providing carbon reporting functions.

Mark Chamberlain, pictured left, Director at Green Power Hire, said: “We are really excited to be working with Wernick and can see the potential for huge growth across the businesses.”

Nick Crane, General Manager at Wernick Power Solutions, added: “It’s great to work with an important partner who has excellent customer support and technical knowledge and a product that perfectly suits our fleet.”
