Himoinsa Power Solutions has appointed Chris Autey as Special Projects Manager, which reflects the growing diversity of the manufacturer’s product range that spans various power and energy options.
In this newly created role, Chris will co-ordinate projects in the UK that require bespoke solutions, such as backup power installations incorporating gas sets.
He will also be involved with the wider rollout of Himoinsa’s growing battery power pack range which can be used in various hybrid setups in tandem with diesel generators.
Chris previously spent ten years working on hybrid systems for power generation specialists serving end user markets, giving him knowledge and experience that can be transferred to hire, construction and others sectors.
“I’ve worked on hybrid systems for various mobile and marine applications, such as vehicles, camper vans, RVs, welfare vehicles, boats and yachts, including mass-production applications,” Chris told me.
“I also developed trailer-mounted hybrid systems for the NHS. They found that scans taken at mobile facilities could be affected by engine vibration or EMC noise (electromagnetic compatibility), so the hybrid solution prevented the problem as the equipment could be powered by lithium-ion batteries.” ‘
Himoinsa's current EHR battery pack range (above) spans 10kWh to 65kWh. These will be joined by 150kWh to 300kWh units, and ultimately 1MW to 3MW containerised models.
