Rentool swivels with Thwaites

Rentool has added ten more dumpers from Thwaites to its fleet, bringing the total number of machines it has from the manufacturer to 110.

This latest order includes four 1.5-tonne power swivel models as well as two- and three-tonne units.

Founded in 1982 by Mike Jackson and Bill Collings, having previously worked at Selwood, the business has two depots in Chandlers Ford and Poole.

Since 2019 the business has been managed by the owners’ two sons, directors Ben Collings and Toby Jackson.

“The first Thwaites dumper entered the Rentool fleet some 34 years ago. We have tried other dumpers over the years, but we always come back to Thwaites,” said Ben.

“The power swivel function, we believe, gives Rentool a competitive advantage as we deal with many contractors in the utility, domestic landscape and property extension sector where space can be tight.”

The machine is 1300mm wide, has hydrostatic transmission and the skip rotates through 180 degrees.
