Vp trading update

In a trading update released today for the year ended 31 March 2024, Vp states that despite a mixed market backdrop, its performance continues to be resilient across its diverse end markets.

Group business include Brandon Hire Station, Groundforce, portable roadway business TPA, safety specialist ESS, mechanical and electrical equipment provider MEP Hire, Torrent Trackside and UK Forks in this country, along with Airpac Rental serving Australia and the international TR Group activity.

Vp says the infrastructure market has been particularly resilient with strong demand from the rail, transmission and water sectors.

General construction remains challenging, which has impacted the performance of Brandon Hire Station in particular. The group says an operational review of this division is well advanced and that its new management team is focused on actions to drive margin improvements alongside medium-term strategic objectives.

Vp says it expects to deliver full-year results in June broadly in line with market expectations.
