Powr2 ups capacity

Powr2 has introduced a new addition to its Powrbank MAX range of high-capacity battery energy storage systems designed to handle large loads, such as when powering tower cranes, hoists and heavy-duty pumps. 

The new MAX 300.600/400 unit delivers 300kW/600kWh of 400V three-phase power and helps smooth out the peaks in energy demand. 

This reduces the size of generator required as well as running time, decreasing emissions, fuel consumption and costs. Other models are available in 250kW and 500kW capacities. 

Powr2 has also enhanced the energy control module (ECM) on its battery energy storage systems, with a large screen that is easy to read in bright conditions. 

The software gives data on operational aspects such as loading, generator run time, carbon reduction and other factors. Anne Nelson, Powr2’s Director of Marketing, tells me that because the company has written the program in-house, it can be easily updated to suit new equipment and components that might be introduced at a later date. 

Also, at last month's Executive Hire Show, Powr2 displayed a model from its three-phase Powrbank Xpro range (pictured below), designed to meet large-scale power storage requirements at events and construction sites.
