Ongoing demand for software

For most hire companies the idea of operating without a dedicated hire management system in place would be almost unthinkable, yet there are still some companies who are adopting them for the first time. 

When I bumped into Amelia Reed, Account Executive with Point of Rental Software, at the recent Portable Sanitation Europe Expo held at the Warwickshire Event Centre near Leamington Spa, she said that the company is regularly signing up new customers, particularly from businesses that added a hire activity in an ad hoc way and which has expanded beyond expectations. 

“There are still some people using paper based systems on spreadsheets and Google Maps. Is it manageable? Perhaps, but you can’t grow a business with ‘manageable’. 

“A successful business is constantly adding more assets, recruiting people and winning customers, so it’s far better to grown within a purpose-built software system than being two steps behind all the time.” 

Point of Rental Software held a very successful Syrinx Conference to promote its software at the Reading headquarters of its UK operation on 8 and 9 November, attended by company personnel and customers. 

● Point of Rental Software is organising a charity ball on 9 March 2024 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Warwickshire to raise funds for the Ukraine relief effort being coordinated by the Plant & Hire Aid Alliance.
