GAP’s Top apprenticeships

The ongoing challenges in recruiting good hire personnel have been mentioned frequently on the blog, as well as the need to encourage the development of existing staff to aid employee retention.
So it’s good to hear that GAP Group’s efforts in this area have been recognised by being named as as one the Top Family Business Apprentice Employers in the UK.
The accolade has been bestowed by Family Business United, an organisation that champions family firms and their contribution to the global economy.
GAP says that, as of June 2023, it has on-boarded 69 apprentices across the UK. Within the 2022/2023 year, 22 promising individuals embarked on their apprenticeship journeys, while eight apprentices having successfully completed their programmes with flying colours, ready to embark on their next steps within the business.
Carly Scoular, GAP’s Learning and Development Manager, said: "At GAP, we know that our company success is down to our people. For this reason, we are huge advocates of apprenticeships as this not only enhances our employee skill set, but also provides an opportunity to join an award-winning organisation, with a guaranteed job once qualified."
GAP offers a diverse range of apprenticeships, including Plant Mechanic Level 3 and Customer Service Level 2. These programmes enable apprentices to earn a salary while acquiring valuable skills within their chosen sector.
Through GAP’s partnerships with prestigious colleges and top-tier training providers across the UK, apprentices can attain formal qualifications that elevate their career prospects within the organisation.
