Genquip’s top man

Peter Beach has been appointed as Managing Director of Genquip Groundhog. 

Peter, a hugely popular hire industry figure, joined the company 16 years ago and has been promoted from his position as Sales and Marketing Manager following the untimely passing of Dennis Hughes. 

“I first met Dennis 20 years ago when I was National Accounts Manager with GE Equipment Services (part of the General Electric Corporation),” Peter told me. “A client had said they needed Groundhog welfare units for their site. Dennis came up to see us and we bought some units, then added more for other customers. Eventually GE had a fleet of more than 500 of them. 

“I got to know Dennis well and could see the potential for the Groundhogs. I joined the company in 2007, just before the very first Executive Hire Show.” 

Peter says that his priorities include continuing to drive forward Genquip Groundhog’s carbon energy reduction plan and further developing the company's range of sustainable welfare units, with an ongoing commitment to quality.

“We also have our new Groundhog factory under construction in Neath which is scheduled to open by April 2024. We plan to have a huge open day to launch the new premises and to show our latest product innovations,” said Peter.
