Morris Leslie places record JCB order
16 March 2023
Morris Leslie Plant Hire has placed an order with JCB for machines worth £87.5 million, representing the manufacturer’s biggest ever deal in the UK.
The purchases include excavators, site dumpers, Loadall telescopic handlers and compaction equipment, as well as 50 3CX backhoe loaders.
All the new machines are powered by Stage V engines designed for low emissions. They are also fitted with JCB’s LiveLink telematics system, and will be to Morris Leslie’s 14 nationwide depots throughout 2023.
Morris Leslie, Chairman of the Perth-based group, who is pictured (left) with JCB Sales MD Marco Bersellini, said: “We are delighted to have agreed our largest ever order with our long-term partner JCB to support our 2023 growth plans and by the end of the year our entire JCB fleet will be operating with the latest Stage V engines.”
