Mecalac for Double M

Staffordshire-based hire firm Double M Plant Hire has taken delivery of a Mecalac 3.5MDX site dumper from local dealer SM Plant Ltd. 

The company says that the cabbed unit is proving popular with customers across its region undertaking a wide range of building, highway repair, landscaping and general contracting work.

The 3.5MDX joins an existing six-tonne Mecalac 6MDX model which Double M purchased for its fleet last year.

Mick Silvester, owner of Double M Plant Hire which is located in Eccleshall, says that one of the key reasons for buying this latest cabbed machine is to meet customers’ site safety requirements. 

“With the model operational on projects across the region, it’s proving hugely popular with both new and returning customers. It’s a really desirable size and the performance figures are hugely impressive for such a compact model.”
