NPH adds Hinowa spider

NPH Group recently invested in its first Hinowa spider access platform, saying it is an obvious addition to its hire fleet.

The hirer has has bought a Lightlift 20.10 Performance IIIS from Access Platform Sales (APS), Hinowa’s UK and Ireland distributor, and reports that the machine has quickly found favour with customers.

Ashley Tarrant, managing director of NPH, said: "Bringing spider boom lifts into our fleet had been on our radar for some time. We did our research and found Hinowa was the platform our customers were keen to use.

"It ticks all our boxes in terms of performance, quality and ease of use, and I know APS will provide excellent technical and support service as we go forward.

The Lightlift 20.10 has a maximum working height of 20.15m and a maximum outreach of 9.7m. Its unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg means it can carry up to two people across its entire working envelope.

APS has supplied the machine with a bespoke compact 3.5-tonne trailer that allows the platform to be towed behind a 4×4 vehicle or van using a standard car driving licence.

NPH Group, founded 35 years ago as Newmarket Plant Hire, has its head office and a depot in Newmarket, with other hire locations in Cambridge, King’s Lynn, Ipswich, Harlow, and Basildon.

Linda Betts, major accounts manager for APS, commented: "We're delighted Ashley and his team at NPH Group are so pleased with their Hinowa Lightlift 20.10.

"It's one of the most popular platforms in the Hinowa range and, because of its special capabilities, attracts premium hire rates, so it promises to be a real winner for them."

Target markets for the machine include operators working in tree management, building surveying, roof maintenance and high-level cleaning.

Having a stowed width of just 790mm, the platform can track through narrow doors and gates, and proportional controls facilitate basket placement.

NPH has selected the diesel and electric bi-energy version of the machine, allowing the crawler platform to be operated via its Kubota diesel engine outdoors and 110V electric power for indoor working.

The Lightlift 20.10 can also be supplied with lithium batteries for zero-emissions electric-powered operation.
