Makita adds more Max

Makita UK has expanded its XGT 40VMax range of machines with new tools for a variety of applications. 

The LS003G is a 305mm brushless slide compound mitre saw delivering a no-load speed of up to 3,600rpm and has a maximum mitre range of 60° to 60° from left or right, and a bevel range of 48° to 48°. A rail-forward design means that the rear of the machine can be placed close to a wall.  

This tool also has Makita’s Auto Start Wireless System that can connect automatically to a compatible dust extractor via Bluetooth. 

Another newcomer is the AS001G brushless dust blower, which can be used for tasks like removing dust from equipment and cleaning air conditioner filters, as well as inflating and deflating inner tubes. It delivers a maximum air volume of 1.1 cubic metres per minute.

The VC001GL and VC003GL are two new L-class dust extractors that are claimed to deliver an output equivalent to corded alternatives. Designed for low noise levels, both can accommodate two XGT 40VMax batteries so that when the first runs out of charge, the second automatically kicks in.

Tank capacities are 8-litres and 15-litres respectively, and the machines can be used for wet and dry vacuum cleaning.

A more novel introduction is the CW001G, a 20-litre cooler and warmer box with seven temperature settings ranging from -18°C up to 60°C. As well as a USB port for charging mobile devices, it has an integral bottle opener. Cheers!
